SEO Specialist [Remote or On-site]

Penicillin changed medicine. The Beatles changed music. And Veracity Insurance Solutions is changing insurance (hey, we can’t all be doctors and musicians). What GEICO did for home and auto insurance we’re doing for business insurance. We make small business insurance simple, affordable, and buyable online without talking to an agent. We’re growing fast and we want you to be a part of it!

About the Role

The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies, including keyword research, competitive research, self-scouting analysis, link building, content strategy & optimization, and technical SEO, among other things. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors, standards for “helpful content” as defined by search engines and users, proven experience in driving organic rankings and traffic growth, and strong analytical skills to measure and report on campaign performance. The SEO Specialist collaborates with the content, design, development, and PMM teams to ensure alignment with overall strategy and business objectives. Success for the SEO Specialist role is defined as driving improvements in organic rankings that lead to increases in qualified organic traffic, that is, traffic that leads to an increase in organic purchases.

What You Need to Succeed

You obviously know the h*ck out of Search Engine Optimization. If you eat, drink, and sleep organic search, bring what you know about successful SEO campaigns, and infuse that knowledge into our products, you’ll succeed.

Since you’re a search engine marketer, your project management muscles are awesome, so flex ‘em. Your flair for data analysis and using numbers as a success guide are also key. And your ability to collaborate and communicate with others, including stakeholders and other SEOs, is unmatched.

Tracking KPIs and analyzing outcomes to say what worked and what didn’t will definitely come in handy. Some failure is inevitable, so learning and adapting are great traits.

You’re good at taking into account past outcomes, future forecasts, market research, building business cases, project plans, and SMART goals that improve organic rankings.

Above all, you’re humble, hungry, smart, and proactive. And if you’re that, you’re one of us.

What We Offer

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
