We’re looking for a talented, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager this role will be responsible for supporting our agency business by maintaining account reconciliation, recording, invoicing and performing basic accounting functions. This is a remote role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of invoicing with precision and efficiency
  • Process and document refund requests and communicate with policyholders regarding refund issues professionally and promptly
  • Create monthly reports of department errors and revenue performance
  • Review and remit biweekly carrier payables as needed
  • Process chargebacks weekly and document/cancel related policies
  • Create AR statements and reports from multiple sources
  • Create and distribute intents, notices of cancellation, and write-offs weekly
  • Submit outstanding balances to collections
  • Research chargebacks and apply findings to related policies
  • Issue agency billing refunds and reconcile financial payments monthly in accordance with company policy
  • Apply incoming payments to customer, broker, and internal accounts
  • Verify financials on finance agreements and submit them to the contract processor
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in insurance agency accounting or financial services
  • Familiarity with agency billing, collections, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience with accounting software, VUE or AMS systems a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the accounting field
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel

Compensation Range: $22/hr - $25/hr w/ $1k annual bonus
