We’re looking for a talented, detail-oriented Partner Development Associate to join our team. Under the direction of the Head of Partnerships, this role will be responsible for researching, contacting, evaluating, and closing new partners. Potential partners include trade groups, associations, schools, event organizers, and other like-minded people who want their clients, customers, students, or vendors to carry the peace of mind insurance protection we offer.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Conduct Outbound Industry Research: Pipeline development includes compiling contacts of potential partners through trade associations/groups, companies, and event organizers/promoters in HubSpot. Develop outbound success strategies for playbooks, call scripts, email templates, and sequences
  • Perform Partnership Outreach: Calls, Emails, Development of outbound sequences through HubSpot, follow up on sales inquiries through email and phone to discuss their interest in partnering with us.
  • Respond to Inbound Partnerships Inquiries: Calls, Emails, Additional Insured HubSpot workflow emails, Partnership web forms, Customer service referrals, and Partner referrals.
  • Close Partners Through: Scheduled virtual meetings, Outbound calls, Email correspondence, Contract development, review, discuss how an enrollment link would be shared for their vendors/exhibitors, Add contacts and contracts to HubSpot and Outlaw, etc.
  • Conduct Regular HubSpot Maintenance: Add new contacts and deals into HubSpot, Move deals through each stage as they happen, Update all contacts and deals immediately after each interaction, Complete checklists, Log all calls in HubSpot if not recorded, Check all HubSpot dashboards and correct any incomplete data.
  • Meet or Exceed SMART Goals & KPIs: Policy growth, Calls, Emails, Asking for referrals, Scheduling appointments, etc.
  • Collaborate to Solve Partner Challenges: Interact with other PSAs & PDAs when needed, Interact when needed to close a partnership with the Partnership leadership team, speak to other departments within the company when necessary, Create business cases, when needed, to evaluate potential partners, Evaluate potential Marketing Fee or Data share opportunities with potential partners
  • Create business cases: Marketing Fee Partnership opportunities, Data share Partnership opportunities, and Other business cases as needed.
  • Present the benefits of Veracity’s product offerings to live or virtual large groups through tradeshows/conferences.
  • Record videos with the internal marketing team (work with Video & Social Media Manager, Video Editor, et al.) Explainer videos, How-to videos, and other business cases as needed.
  • The travel requirement percentage is 10-20% per year for tradeshows, conferences, and company offsite. Survey attendees at shows to verify if they are the correct target audience to partner with, Survey exhibitors at shows to verify if they are the correct target audience to partner with, Coordinate with tradeshow/conference event organizers on exhibitor coverage, engage attendees when exhibiting, and explore potential partnerships, Attend and participate in company offsite (4-5 days)
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements and Qualifications
 
  • Minimum of two years of partner or customer support & light sales, partnerships, or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated qualities of being humble, hungry, smart, and proactive in previous roles.
  • Experience solving customer problems and introducing company solutions for growing accounts through consultative interactions.
  • Skilled in researching trends, industries, and competitors within and outside the insurance industry.
  • Ability to conduct business case analyses for existing partnerships.
  • Experience in making marketing fee recommendations and proposing other approaches for existing partnerships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Experience with HubSpot, Vidyard.com, and various analytics
  • Platforms (Google Analytics, social media analytics, etc.) is a plus Familiarity with Monday.com and Hunter.io is a plus.
  • Insurance Licensing: While a current Property and Casualty (P&C) license is not required at the time of hire, PSAs must obtain their P&C license within the first 60 days of employment. Veracity will cover the cost of the P&C licensing exam for up to two attempts. If a PSA is unable to pass the P&C licensing exam after two attempts or within 90 days of their hire date, their employment will be terminated.

  • Experience with negotiation strategies and tactics– demonstrated ability to build rapport & trust, stay positive, be articulate, and be an active listener
  • Brand awareness – appreciation for and champion of the organization’s brand and reputation
  • Collaboration & follow-through – demonstrated ability to work within a team structure to reach a common goal and efficiently complete projects with partners, PSAs, PDAs, PMMs, stakeholders, and direct & indirect company reports
  • Track record of setting specific, measurable, achievable, and relevant (“SMART”) goals in past projects & positions
  • A strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance is a plus
  • Strategically-focused – the ability to identify and qualify/quantify potential partners through business casing and structuring partnership agreements
  • Demonstrated abilities to be Humble, Hungry, Smart, and Proactive on the job.

Compensation Range: $80K/yr
